Westbrooke’s Brand and Communications role offers potential candidates the opportunity to assist Westbrooke in building its external brand in the retail, ultra-high net worth, wealth manager and institutional markets. Candidates are expected to take ownership of all elements of the brand building / marketing / PR lifecycle, with the ultimate purpose being to position WAAM as the market leader in the South African alternative asset management space.
key role requirements:
- Formulation of the business level brand and communications strategy
- Be able to position complex financial concepts in an easy-to-understand manner, through company marketing collateral, fact sheets, website content, editorial content, etc.
- Formulation of transaction specific marketing materials and key product positioning
- Engagement with relevant service providers for the rollout and supervision of related marketing functions e.g. digital agencies, marketing agencies, etc.
- Content development
- Assessment of the success of the company marketing strategy against specific targets and pre-defined metrics
candidates must be:
- From a financial background (BCom or equivalent and above) but with experience in brand, communications and/or public relations
- Have at least 5 years’ relevant experience
- Have previous experience working in the asset management and/or financial services industries in order to be able understand, interpret and explain complex financial concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
- Personable, highly-intelligent and hard-working
- A strategic thinker
